Have you ever watched an opening or closing ceremony for the Olympics?
You should, they're not only a laugh riot, but gay, gay, gay, gay, gay.
Campy fun! Witness the segment meant to be a tribute to, I think, Switzerland: Skating Christmas trees and mooing cattle on wheels, with for some reason, couples waltzing in big white and black "cow spotted" costumes, and guys in lederhosen blowing giant pipe shaped horns.
Entertainment that can't be beat with a stick!
I don't give a damn about sports (except maybe ice dancing and synchronized swimming: again, campy fun -- but for a couple years I've made it a point to watch opening and closing ceremonies.
Now past Olympians parading in designer outfits that are a scream -- sort of floaty doctors smocks -- to music from a Fellini film.
And a fourth grade Italian girl, in what appears to be a sixties mod outfit the colors of the Italian flag -- those Italians have style! --sings the Italian national anthem, Italian soldiers in operetta costumes raise the flag.
